TEAM LEADER, Mesa Center for Success at Jordan
Mesa Public Schools is Arizona’s largest school district, serving approximately 61,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade in a culturally diverse community. We are located just east of Phoenix, in a residential community that is supportive of education. Mesa students are frequently recognized for accomplishments in academics, the arts, career and technical education and athletics.
Applications are being accepted for the position of Team Leader, Mesa Center for Success at Jordan, a Success and Choice School, with the Mesa Unified School District. The team leader position will be an administrative position with a ten month work calendar. Salary placement on the administrative salary schedule will be determined by an applicant’s education and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Direct and supervise student extracurricular programs.
- Assist the principal in the general administration of the school and assume the role and responsibility for the principal in his/her absence.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the instructional program, helping to provide leadership for implementation of Arizona academic standards addressed in the District’s curriculum.
- Assist in maintaining student discipline.
- Administer school rules regarding attendance.
- Assist in the evaluations of classified and certificated staff.
- Assist in the selection of school personnel.
- Coordinate the master calendar for student activities, athletic events, and facility usage.
- Provide for the health and safety of students and staff.
- Oversee the coordination of student funds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- State of Arizona administrative certification.
- A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience.
- Leadership experience at school and/or district level.
