OVERVIEW:
To meet district and DPS safety standards on school buses through repair or replacement of damaged vinyl seats and seatbelts; to replace glass in windows and doors; to remove graffiti in district school buses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School education or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum two years upholstery experience
- Minimum two years upholstery experience
- Knowledge of materials, fabric and vinyl
- Knowledge of various tools and machines of the trade
- Ability to cut and to replace safety glass in school buses
- Ability to prioritize workload and work with minimum supervision
- Valid Arizona driver’s license
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Repair or replace bus seat vinyl and seatbelts; repair harnesses in district school buses
- Remove graffiti from buses
- Replace broken safety glass on school buses; replace window latches, sun shades/visors or mirrors on district buses
- Replace backrest and cushion covers; cut and sew as needed
- Replace back foams and repair backrest frames
- Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed
