OVERVIEW:
To assist the Assistant Principal with the organization of the after-school discipline program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School education or equivalent
- Bilingual English/Spanish helpful
- Moderate proficiency in typing, with good accuracy; average test battery
- Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications (Word, Excel, etc)
- Ability to operate general office machines and equipment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with students, parents/guardians, district employees and public
- Ability to take initiative and to work with constant interruptions
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks (e.g. typing, filing, copying, scheduling, etc) following standarized procedures in support of assigned personnel
- Prepare instructional materials and documents for teachers following established guidelines
- Assist in the daily recording and maintenance of student attendance records to ensure reliable data for district, state and federal reporting purposes
- Assist in process the registration of new students and withdrawal of students to provide reliable data for district, state and federal reporting purposes
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
- Regular and on-time attendance required
- Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
