Applications are being accepted for the position of Carson Junior High School Principal with the Mesa Unified School District.  The Junior High School Principal reports directly to the Area Assistant Superintendent.  The starting date is approximately July 1, 2024.  The beginning salary for this 12-month position is approximately $99,077, dependent upon preparation and like experience.

    1. Knowledge of Arizona academic standards and ability to interpret test data to improve instruction and achievement.
    2. Effective professional relationships with students, teachers, administrators, parents and the community.
    3. Educational leadership in the profession through membership and participation in the community and in the professional organizations as well as activities with students, teachers, community and individual projects.
    4. Strong organizational ability in all aspects of educational programs.
    5. Skill in effective decision making.
    6. Ability to communicate effectively with faculty and student body.
    7. Forward-looking in educational views and evidence of a willingness to accept change.
    8. Demonstrated competence in planning and developing educational facilities.
