Base Salary:

$54,035.00

Performance Pay:

Available annually

New hire experience:

$500 for each full-time year of certified teaching

or verified like experience

New hire education:

$65/hour of graduate level credits: BA +45 hours max,

MA +60 hours max $1000 for advanced degrees

Class/Calendar:

Certified Exempt, 187 workdays

Candidates must complete an on-line application which requires appropriate Arizona certification, valid IVP Arizona fingerprint clearance card, evidence of highly qualified status, three letters of recommendation, and transcript of credits.

 

OVERVIEW:

The College and Career Readiness Coordinator is a liaison between adult education instructors, Mesa Public Schools (MPS) and the MPS Adult Education Program, the Department of Education/Adult Education Services and Workforce partners as defined by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The coordinator provides support to adult education staff in the incorporation of college and career readiness skills in instruction and assists adult students with their transition to college and/or career. He/she builds and maintains collaborations with post-secondary institutions, employers, community-based organization, and workforce partners.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The College and Career Readiness Coordinator works in conjunction with adult education program leadership, district departments and the Arizona Department of Education/Adult Education Services to enhance students’ transition from the adult education program to post-secondary education, training, or the workforce.  The coordinator also represents the program to post-secondary institutions, workforce partners, community-based organizations and employers.
